Project Abstract

Micron Management has been in need of a tool that allows managers and people leaders to compose teams of qualified people more effectively. This tool needs to act as a learning management system that presents a person's training, skills, and knowledge information to the user. Atlas will be an application that allows users to view data relevant to their roles and ambitions. It will also enable them to communicate their current, past, and future learning goals throughout Micron as a whole.

To ensure that Micron stays ahead in today's competitive semiconductor industry, Micron's team members must stay ahead of the competition. To achieve this goal, Micron needs a system to track team members' skills, understand their gaps, and gain insight into additional training. Traditional training systems cannot achieve these goals; they leave organizations in the dark, offering generic programs and lagging metrics.

Project Atlas solves this problem by providing a comprehensive map of Micron employees' skills and potential so that Micron can assess its organizational readiness. This web-based platform analyzes existing data and assessments, revealing individual strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for growth. Project Atlas then generates personalized learning pathways, ensuring every employee's journey directly benefits Micron's goals.

The impact extends beyond individuals. Project Atlas reveals Micron's collective agility, empowering them to conquer any challenge with confidence and competence. It's a strategic investment, demonstrably reducing training costs, increasing engagement, and boosting overall performance.

Project Description

Over the course of the semester, Team Ace implemented several features continuing progress made in previous semesters:

This project allows the admin to create different paths based on a discussion between the Manager and the employee. The employee will then have a list of courses they need to take in order to progress through their career.

Curently the application only has dummy data, which the admin can change with CRUD operations. But the application will be reimplemnted with real data on Micron's side and will have data pulled in from 3rd parties.

The dashboard will display the employees progress and role based access makes it impossible for the employee to access admin controls.

This semester we laid the foundation for future sememsters and implemented a lot of backend features and controls that will make it easier for future semesters.
