Happy Gifter
Almost everyone struggles with gift ideas, especially when holidays or events are around the corner. Happy Gifter is a web-based application that serves the purpose of fixing that issue. By simply creating an account, you are served with personalized gift ideas, based on the profile you create for a family member. This utilization of A.I. expands the ability to see a visual of a personalized gift and link you to that store’s page for purchase. Forgetful of upcoming events? No worries. Happy Gifter is set to remind you in perfect timing. Be done with complicated online registries, and step into an application that cares about the user experience for personalized shopping.
With help from A.I., Happy Gifter is set out to help those in need of gift ideas. Anyone who has access to the internet and email is all set to go! By simply creating an account on a simple to use web-based application, you will unlock the potential to create family profiles for those who are in need of gifts by taking a quick survey of the receiver. Unlike Ollie.ai where it takes a couple questions to receive gift recommendations, with Happy Gifter, it is instantaneous.
As a senior project this required improving and building upon the already existing web application. Bugs such as errors rendering content in react, database inconsistencies, etc. had to be squashed. Work was done on the display of gifts when selecting gifts ideas from the AI chatbot and the saving of said gifts or gift ideas, and gift recommendation feedback was implemented with thumbs up and thumbs down icons for future gift recommendation improvement. Additionally, better traffic visualization was implemented on the admin dashboard.
After the gifts ideas was being saved, they will be displayed on the each users' saved profiles, where users can changed any details from the gift ideas that auto-generated by the said AI chatbot. Those information will be saved to the database and help this AI chatbot to bring out more accurate gift ideas in the future.

After click on any of the gift ideas in the Chatbot, a popup displays the images being scraped from different shopping websites
After saving the gift ideas by clicking the gift icon, the new gift idea will be displayed on the users' saved profiles
Specific information from the gift being saved will popup when click on any of the gifts on the gift list.
